Common Bike inc. is an incorporated association. That means it is,
like most sport clubs, a non profit organisation managed by all the
members. With this legal entity, Common Bike can be a truly community project. The affairs of common Bike are managed by the management committee. This committee is elected by the members at a general meeting. the (official) statement of purposes of Common Bike inc. is: 1. To advocate Bikes as an environmentally, economically, and socially sustainable mode of transport. 2. To stimulate and organise bike-sharing programs in Victoria 3. To start a bicycle borrowing system at at least 5 locations in Melbourne where members can borrow a bike. 4.
